Quick Introduction to Koh Phi Phi

The average price for a bed: Hostels in Koh Phi Phi cost 5€ – 14€ per night for a bed in a dorm. A private room starts from 20€ up to 30€ per night. This is a rough average, just to give you an idea.

Prices always depend on the season and holidays. Please always check the exact rates on Hostelworld.com or Booking.com.

Check-In and Check-Out: The average check-in time is from 15:00 (3 pm), while the Check Out time is before 11:00 (11 am). Hostels usually offer luggage storage in case you arrive earlier or leave later. Make sure you check if luggage storage is free or if there is an extra cost.

Koh Phi Phi vs. Phi Phi Islands: Don’t let the two names confuse you – they refer to the same place! Koh is simply the Thai word for ‘island.’

They’re not randoms but owners of this budget-friendly and intimate hostel in Koh Phi Phi.

These guys turned a holiday into an idea and birthed Dormsin Koh Phi Phi Hostel for fellow backpackers to enjoy.

Be sure to test their knowledge and have a chat with these two. They love to divulge local secrets so we hear.

This place has just one – yes one – room!

It is, in fact, home to 18 wonderful pod beds and even has a seating area to encourage socializing.

Quite important as it happens because it has been known for people to get a little too comfy inside their pod.

It’s no wonder when each pod has:

  • Linen & 24cm thick mattress
  • Reading light
  • Plug point
  • Hands-free bendable arm (for phones/ipads)
  • 4 hooks & shelf

And before panic sets in, we can confirm that each bed also has a privacy curtain. This is really one of the best Koh Phi Phi island hostels.

If you want to store your things safely, remember your padlock and use the HUGE lockers.

No great hostel would be complete with free Wi-Fi (check) and a quality book swap (also check).

If you plan to paint the town red, make use of the handy ‘Boudoir’, which was specially designed with getting ready in mind.

Location: close enough to all the major bars and cafes, yet far enough from the noise. Loh Moo Dee beach is under 2km away from Dorms.

You just know a hostel is going to be cool when literally all of its photos include people having an awesome time!

Voyagers Hostel is obviously all about the social vibes and inclusive atmosphere.

Whilst the hostel itself isn’t overall impressive in terms of design and amenities, it more than makes up for its awesome location and easy ability to meet new people.

There is only shared accommodation here, with just one 10-bed mixed dorm on the property. This makes it extra intimate and supportive of making great connections.

Just make sure you beat your mate to the bottom bunk, as it comes with a privacy curtain!

What else?

  • Fully air-conditioned
  • Light & charging point on each bed
  • Communal area
  • Key card access

4. Sand sea view resort

Situated on the sandy banks of Ton Sai Bay, Sand sea view resort  is the ultimate haven for anyone seeking a charming, less-crowded slice of paradise on Phi Phi Island.

This Phi Phi island hostel offers beachfront lodgings, bungalows, water sports facilities, and a tour desk. Depending on your choice and budget, you can opt for a room directly on the beach, with windows that face azure blue waves, or a room in the back with either AC or fans.

The hotel is just a ten-minute stroll from Phi Phi’s bustling main area, making it an excellent choice for backpacking couples or solo travelers seeking a peaceful and soothing escape.

If you’re someone who wakes up early, you’ll appreciate having the nearby beach all to yourself in the morning since this part of the island isn’t as crowded early on as others.

Party Hostels in Koh Phi Phi

Looking for a Koh Phi Phi party hostel? Sure, there are some crazy party hostels in Koh Phi Phi that will have you up all night and constantly amongst the music.

Yet, as we promised earlier; this guide aims to avoid the “young party kids”.havo

That’s why we recommend Hangover Hostel Koh Phi Phi as a good party hostel option. It is also near to the beach bar.

As we mentioned earlier, this is more of a base to get the night started.

Meet friends in the big dorms, drink outside, and then hit the nearby parties.

There are no crazy activities or drinking games, so the party pressure isn’t intense.

If you decide not to continue the party, enjoy a quiet night’s sleep as everyone else heads into town.
