Safety: Barcelona is a relatively safe city. As with many other European cities, pick-pocketing is a pretty common crime, but “fortunately” is usually geared more towards electronics and valuable items. Keep in mind, when traveling, it is important to be smart; trust your gut, be aware of your surroundings and if something seems off, it probably is.
Party in Barcelona: Obviously the nightlife is massive in BCN. In general, it is safe. Yet, same as in daylight, there are many pickpockets. Kabul Party Hostel is located in Placa Reial, in the middle of the Gothic Quarter near Las Ramblas and metro station. You cannot be more central than that.
Kabul Party Hostel is rumored to be the first hostels in all of Barcelona. Yet again, considered to be one of the best party hostels in all of Europe. Besides location, the hostel comes with many perks and offerings for backpackers who choose to stay.
For starters, there are free walking tours hosted each day. This is a perfect way to get an ideal layout of the neighborhood your are staying, before going out on any late night benders. Just ask at the reception about the specific times. The free walking tours in Barcelona usually start around 10-11am. Oh and it is pretty obvious, but we should mention that you can count on free wifi throughout the entire building. From the dorms to the roof top terrace.
Secondly, the rooftop is designed with a massive, cool terrace, great for views, pre drinks, and hostel events such as cookouts and BBQ nights.

Onefam Sants by Hostel One in located in the neighborhood of Sants, just within minutes from the metro station and very close to the FC Barcelona Football Stadium.
The best words to describe Onefam Sants by Hostel One are SOCIAL and FUN!

Sant Jordi Hostels Rock Palace is suuuuuper fun and quite a crazy Barcelona party hostel, I might add. Their roof top swimming pool tops it all, really.
Hostel Sant Jordi Rock Palace is located very central in their neighborhood of Eixample. You are right next to Passei de Gracia with the famous buildings of Casa Mila and Casa Batllo. It is in a very walkable neighborhood, near the metro Passeig de Gràcia as well as the train station itself. This makes it yet again super easy to get to the Airport and around the city.
Hostel enthusiasts from all over the world come to stay at the famous Sant Jordi Rock Palace. Boasting a kick-ass guitar collection and onsite rooftop pool, this is by far one of the coolest places to stay in the city. The hostel has everything needed for an ideal stay including bar and club-themed common room areas, soundproof rooms for late nights and early mornings, onsite breakfast, a shared kitchen, and incredible fun, young staff.
Pub crawls are hosted by the hostel each week for visitors, going around to some of the best bars and pubs in the area.
Not only this, but one of the main attractions of the hostel is their on-site family dinners. Each afternoon, cooking parties are hosted by the staff, preparing dinner for the guests of the hostel. 4. Onefam Paralelo by Hostel One
Onefam Paralelo by Hostel One is located in the area of Pablo Sec. It is very close to the popular Apollo nightclub, as well as the Poble Sec metro station.
If you are a backpacker one a budget, but still trying to make to most of of your time in Barcelona, this is the place to be. Onefam Paralelo by Hostel One is a small, cosy place. It is super popular choice for all the hostels Barcelona has dotted around the city.
Not only are dorm rooms affordable, but being a guest in the hostel comes with FREE perks as well. The hostel offers free dinners each night, as no one should be partying all night on an empty stomach, in addition to entrance to free parties and events in the city.

5. Pars Tailor Hostel
Pars Tailor Hostel is the best option when you are traveling backpacker style and want to party and international flair. The rooms are simple and there is only shared facilities such as dorms and shared bathrooms. You cannot stay in a private room at Pars Tailor.
One reason I absolutely love this place and recommend it over and over again is their events. This small hostel organizes plenty of activities like beach volleyball, or sunset at the bunker del Carmel. It is really the kind of stuff you would do with your friends in Barcelona. They also go together to see the famous Magic Fountain in Barcelona.
On top of all that, they offer a solid foosball table, bike rental and even a pool billiard table.
They also have a sister-hostel called Pars Teatro Hostel.
Location: Pars Tailor is in the heart of Sant Antoni district. This is one of my favorite areas to stay actually. There is a direct airport bus leaving just 200m from the Hostel – pretty perfect!

6. St Christophers Inn
St Christophers Inn and its Belushis Bar are one of the most popular hostels in the city. They are very big and have many dorms and private rooms. This means you can meet lots of people, and the bar even attracts locals. Obviously there is not this flair of a small, cosy hostel, like Pars Tailor Hostel. So it is really up to you which type of hostel you prefer.
Location wise, this one is the most central hostel you will ever see: Right at Placa Catalunya, the very heart of Barcelona. Here you have a direct bus connection to the airport, the Ramblas starts from here as well as the famous Passeig de Gracia. The two neighborhoods Gothic Quarter and El Raval are just 2 minutes away.
St Christophers is also one of the cheapest Barcelona Party Hostels. Especially in Off-season you can stay cheaply here.
Last but not least: This is the best party hostel in Barcelona for groups and bachelor parties!

Sex in Barcelona Hostels
Sex is bound to happen in hostels, especially party hostels. Barcelona is no exception.
If you choose to take part, be respectful and try to do it in the right way. Avoid small rooms and common areas, and opt for laundry rooms or rooftops. Be sure to use a condom, this is why it should be on everyones packing list. Actually, some party hostels even offer free condoms for customers! Just another perk unique to hostels.

Things to Bring
There are a few things backpackers should be sure to bring when staying at a party hostel specifically.
These items include earplugs, for early mornings and loud roomates, a padlock (lock up your valuables BEFORE going out for the night), headache medicine, whatever works best for you to cure a hangover, and condoms, better safe than sorry.
Especially for the bigger European cities where pickpocketing is common we recommend wearing trousers with zippers. This limits the chances of stealing from your pockets.

Barcelona is a multicultural city, giving visitors many options. Whether you are looking for a night out of hitting the bars, pubs and nightclubs, or if you are more interested in day drinking, boating, festivals, or hearing some live music, Barcelona has it all.
As mentioned above, the neighborhood of El Born is widely known for its uniqueness and chill/hipster vibe. Here, the bars and venues are all very sophisticated in their own way, with any genre of music to fit your taste.
In addition to El Born, another popular place to party in Barcelona is the Gothic Quarter and El Raval. The Gothic Quarter is the most centrally located region in the city, and caters to traveler and budget friendly backpackers. El Raval used to be a sketchy area, really. Nowadays it is much more safe.
Finally, the area of Las Ramblas is the ideal place to ‘pre-game’ or start the night. It is one of the best areas to meet with friends or grab a bite before the real party begins.
Important Nightlife Safety: Pickpockets are common and unfortunately, night lifers are usually an easy target. Try to minimize what you carry when partying in Barcelona. Maybe leave your phone in the hostel, use trousers with zippers, and do not bring too much cash.
