1. Keeping it Local

One of the main highlights of Deep Ellum Hostel is easily the connected bar named Booty’s Dallas.

Once you’ve located the hidden entrance (somewhere in the lobby), you’ll find an offering of affordable food and drinks from around the world.

The best bit is that the kitchen is sustainable, using only locally sourced ingredients.

“In the heart of Deep Ellum, we’re serving it up hot, fresh and friendly – no jet engine needed.”

Psst! A buffet breakfast is included, too.

The hostel building itself also has an eco-friendly story of its own.

When it was renovated a few years ago, many of the century-old details were kept.

Instead of knocking down and rebuilding, brick walls were mixed in with a modern splash of warm colour.

2. Industrial Chic Design you’ll LOVE

When you walk around it’s easy to get caught up in the design details of this place.

A stack of old suitcases in the corner of the room, original brick walls and vintage furniture give this hostel a real special vibe.

Yet with the old, also comes the new.

It’s a gorgeous mix of retro and modern, with a seriously swanky kitchen and top of the range bunk beds.

Seriously, skip quickly to the pictures and have a look.

The dorms are kept small with a maximum of 8-beds. And so much effort has gone in to each bed!

A large lobby area is designed to bring everyone together, with plenty of seating, vinyl player and a book exchange.

The high ceilings and dim, warm lighting create a homely and relaxing atmosphere throughout.

3. Private Suite, anyone?

Alongside the fantastic shared dorms, there is also an option to book your very own private suite.

Sounds fancy, and it is.

In fact, there are five private suites to choose from!

Each of them includes a

• luxurious ensuite,
• memory foam mattress,
• cotton linens and
• private living room area.

They’re suitable for 2-4 people – great for cute couples and small families that enjoy their own space.

Can we just warn you of something?

These suites are so comfortable, clean and big that you might forget you’re actually staying in a hostel and never come out.

Just remember that there is so much more on offer in and around the building.
