Generator Hostel in Rome is the #1 choice for hostels here. It is a hostel housed in a 19th century building.
You can choose from among 78 shared and private rooms that are tastefully decorated and come with practical, modern amenities from wall to wall.
Private bathrooms are available as well.
Every unit is well-stocked with clean towels and linens and has sufficient storage space for your personal belongings.
The swanky bar and restaurant, along with the posh café are hangout zones for days when you don’t wish to step out.
They are vibrant spaces to rest and relax, which also offer a wide range of deli-style delicacies and local classics from coffees to beers.
The rooftop terrace at Generator Rome is also lovely place. It is located at the 7th floor.
There, you can watch the gorgeous sunset after spending a day in the city.

This place has a 24 room boutique structure, made up of private double rooms and shared triple rooms.
Every private room has a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, oven, lockers, air-conditioner, a kettle, a bath or shower and a desk.
You can get access to free WiFi throughout the hostel.
A communal kitchen can be found on every floor.
While you can relax in the shared lounge during the evening or right after breakfast, use the self-service laundry room, or play in the games room.
Located in the green belt of Rome, in the Valle Aurelia neighborhood, you will enjoy a fresher and quieter environment than more central areas.
It opened its doors in the year 2016, and has been doing significantly well since then.

What to know beforehand?
Bricks Rome is located in a local neighborhood, Valle Aurelia.
It is a calm area to relax from the buzz of the city.
Even though the location is not central, the views and facilities will make up for the effort.
Bear in mind there is an age restriction in dorms – 18 to 45 years, but private rooms don’t have any.
The staff is very nice and helpful.
If you arrive late at night, let them know so they can arrange some food for you.

Located in the heart of Rome, just 300 meters from the main sight Santa Maria Maggiore church, you’ll find the New Generation Hostel.
All rooms are air-conditioned, and you get to choose between en suite rooms and bunk beds in shared dormitories.

With design-led bunk beds with actual stairs for getting on the top bunk beds. Yes, they do have stairs instead of ladders.
Each unit includes a separated space with private lockers.
All lockers come with electric socket inside. That way, you can charge your gadgets safely while you are not in the room.
On each bunk bed, you will find a private lamp and an electric socket.
Some rooms have exposed brick walls and striking ceiling with wooden beams. Ancient roman walls exposing history contrast very well with the modern furniture.
On each room, there is also a fridge, and a private or shared bathroom.
Private rooms beds have a nightstand so you can keep personal belongings on it, while a fridge and table are also available.
To ensure a good night’s rest, they do have orthopedic mattresses on all beds.
New Generation hostel has an inside garden, resto-bar, TV lounge and a fully furnished shared kitchen.
If you want to check your email or post photos on your social network profile, make use of the free WiFi throughout the hostel.
The staff speaks fluent English. You won’t have any trouble when it comes to communication.

The area directly around Termini is not a nice, clean area. There are a few homeless staying around, but as far as you don’t disturb them, it is safe.
Another great idea for enjoying the nightlife in Rome is joining a Pub Crawl. There, you can meet other fellow travelers.

Termini area is considered the city center.
This is where the main station is located. The majority of the city’s most famous sites can be reached on foot within 30 minutes.
Termini station is a major public transport hub so it’s an ideal spot from which to explore the city.

Rome is quite a romantic city, they say it is the real city of love.
If you have a close look a the name, you will get why. Rome means love literally:
