The Bus Hostel is known for its very cosy ambient and the guests love the comfy stay. It is one of the best hostels in Reykjavík for solo-travellers.

We took a close look at this charming hostel to see why everybody loves this budget accommodation.
1. Sustainable, Eco-Friendly, and a Bike Rental Service
Bus Hostel is managed by locals, and works with local tour operators.
The hostel has its own strict green guidelines to ensure that travelers stay in a safe, non-toxic and energy-efficient environment. You can get organic and fair trade coffee at the bar, while only non-disposable dishes and utensils are used at the hostel.
Last but not least, you will get 100% organic sheets and towels and sleep in hand-made bunk-beds (fair trade!). That sounds pretty cool, right?!
2. Vintage-Style with Love & creativity
We especially love Bus Hostel’s creativity!
The Hostel is decorated in a vintage style with old frames hanging on the wall, wooden furniture throughout the hostel, and vintage elements including an old record player. The numerous old frames, and the mentioned vintage elements invite everybody to calm down, have a look at the small design details all over the place.
The sleeping rooms on the other hands are kept in a bright and simple design. Bright colors and bright wooden furniture ensures a comfy stay.
The design of Bus Hostel is also mixed up with hip and fun touches: The unique character!
3. Creative and Intelligent Sense of Humor
This sense of humor is simply brilliant and a tad bit geeky!
We love the attitude that comes with Bus Hostel. You’ll love all the short, positives quotes all over the hostel. And if you fancy some singing in the shower, but your talent for singing is not your strongest suite, remember: There is no half-singing in the shower. You’re either a Rock Star or an Opera Diva!.
Also, the sign “Men to the left, because women are always right” earn many laughter. Just slow & calm down, the Bus Hostel Reykjavik is a place to enjoy!

4. Laid-Back and Fun – Bus Hostel Vibes
Super easy-going! There is nothing better than coming home from a long day discovering Reykjavik, and relaxing in the common area with your friends, as well as your future friends!
And just in case you don’t meet any fellow travelers, just wait at the friends’ wall. Place your hand there; Have a stranger place their hand there. You can remove your hands from the wall when you’re no longer strangers!
5. The Staff is your friend at Bus Hostel
The staff knows everything in and around the Icelandic Capital – challenge them!
Ask the Bus Team and they’ll give you 100% local tips on what to do in Reykjavik. Pretty cool things like restaurants, bars and markets! So many comments and reviews on the major booking platforms attest the Bus Hostel Team a superb work. The team loves to help their guests to plan their trip around Iceland.
