Quick Introduction to Krakow Hostels
Average price for a bed: Poland in general is a great country to travel on a budget. A bed in a dorm can be as cheap as 5β¬ per night. A private room starts usually at around 15β¬ already. Cheap, right?! This is a rough average just to give you an idea.
Prices always depend on season and holidays. Please always check exact rates on Hostelz.com and Hostelworld.com.
Nightlife: We highly recommend going out in the Kazimierz district at night. The bars are legendary, and there are plenty of great restaurants, and even street food. It is the former jewish quarter, full of history. There is a well-preserverd Jewish cemetry. Why? Because the Nazis threw their trash on this cemetry (instead of actually destroying it, fortunately). This, oddly, preserved this Cemetry. Check our guide to best party hostels in Krakow.
Free Walking Tours: Next we highly recommend taking a free walking tour in Krakow. There are plenty, just ask your hostel for a recommendation.
Check-In and Check Out: The average check-in time is from 15:00 (3pm), while the Check Out time is before 11:00 (11am). Hostels usually offer luggage storage in case you arrive earlier or leave later. Make sure you check if luggage storage is free or if there is an extra cost.
Party vs Chill: Krakow is big in the nightlife game. You can have epic nights out! Make sure you select the right type of hostel. In this list we share cosy, chill-out hostels as well as hardcore fiesta-party-hostels.
Budget: Check out our Krakow budget travel guide.
