Some tips for backpackers in Gdansk:
- Since Gdansk is a safe city and nobody will try to scam or rob you, you need to be cautious when using the internet.
- The shoulder seasons, from late April to late June or from late August to late September, are the ideal months to visit Gdansk since the weather is often agreeable, the city isn’t overrun with tourists, and lodging costs are more reasonable than they are in the months of June and August.
- The Weekend Ticket is an excellent way to save money on Polish railways. For unlimited use of specific Polish trains for the weekend, there is a predetermined fee of 81 zlotych. You can practically travel the entire country by hopping on and off as you like.
- Poland is not where English is frequently spoken, so if you want to travel around easily, you’ll need to learn a few phrases.
- Hello: Dzień Dobry
- Please: Proszę
- Thank you: Dziękuję
- How much does this cost? Ile to kosztuje?
