1. Go Slow Guesthouse
Tucked around the corner from the main strip, this family-run hostel is set at the heart of Caye Caulker approximately 5 minute’s walk away from everything you might need during your stay.
The staff live on the property and are very helpful as well as very knowledgeable about the area.
They’re always available to recommend and organize plenty of excursions that you can enjoy on this stunning island.
Go Slow Guesthouse is also just a 2 minutes’ walk to the split, one of the most popular beach destinations on the island and a great place where you can snorkel for free.
This hostel is designed to give you rest. For that reason, there are a lot of nice chill spots with benches, lounging chairs, and hammocks where you can kick back and relax or join other guests for a chat.

If you’re an eco-traveler you’ll appreciate the fact that all the rooms are air-conditioned but only at night which is a relief in the Belizean moist tropical climate and at the same time good for the environment.
Although the social vibe is great, this hostel gets quiet at night. It’s a great option if you want to have a peaceful night. That also means it might not be the place for you if you’re looking to party.
