It is an indoor camping experience with 15 completely different, lovingly designed caravans. They are placed in the former industrial plant in the center of the Triberg, walking distance to majority of the cool places, shops and restaurants in the city. It is also just a short distance walk to the waterfalls.
Their unique indoor camping, the cozy pub with in-house brewery and spacious event room, as well as a fitness studio now fill the rooms and breathe new life into the old factory building. But in many corners, old machines and equipment still bear witness to the former industrial company and give their home its very own charm.
Every caravan has it’s one theme and the eye to detail is very high. You can choose your caravans based on number of people. Even if you are going alone you can pick the smallest one. And the common areas – food tables, and coffee machine are open 24 hours. You can use them by paying coins. Common bathrooms and toilets (which are more than sufficient) are well maintained separate for men & women.
They also have keep enough blankets and towels in the corner of the common area where you can take them if required. And if you need a hair blower you can get it from the reception. Finally, there is a small setup for the kids to play in the common area.
It is good to know that WIFI is really bad. We are not sure if this is a common internet problem in Triberg, but keep this in mind and equip yourself with your own mobile data.

How do you get to Hostel Art & Style, Singen? It’s easy. Just take the train to Singen, the city is well connected. Once you’re in Singen, it’s a short walk to the hostel.

And on top of that, Heidelberg is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. Therefore, forgive us…it is technically not Black Forest, but super close and worth it to visit. We have been there several times!
Let’s talk about Lotte-The Backpackers in Heidelberg then. You’ll be able to enjoy a fantastic social atmosphere and meet new people in this hostel. The staff is amiable and welcoming and always organizes fun activities for guests.
You’ll locate the hostel in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the city centre. It’s also close to the train station, so it’s easy to get around. That is, It’s easy to get to Lotte Hostel. Just take the train to Heidelberg and get off at the Bismarckplatz stop. From there, it’s a two-minute walk. The city is small anyway and very easy to walk around.
The hostel has a rooftop terrace with amazing views of the city. There’s also a bar on-site where you can buy drinks and snacks.

Second, the two hostels below are no longer in the Black Forest Area. But, as mentioned in the beginning, they are nearby. More important, the Famous Disney-Looking Castle Neuschwanstein is nearby.

Pro tip: Come here early for sunrise. There will be very few to no people around. It is the best time to take photos and enjoy the views. Bring some basic picnic with you for some breakfast.
Oh and is there a best time to visit Castle Neuschwanstein? We don’t think so. It is gorgeous in summer, autumn, winter and spring alike. We have been here during Autumn and with all the colorful leaves it was so beautiful, too.
