Hostel Location and Direction
BoutiQuito is located a few kilometers from the historic center of Quito, on a small hill with a stunning view to the city of Quito, a volcano, and the landscape.
The nearest attraction to the hostel is the Guapulo Church and Park. The area here is quiet and safe, and taxi rides are relatively inexpensive in Quito. If you need any more detailed information here, please drop us a message or leave a comment below.
If you're arriving by plane, you can either take a taxi or bus. If you're taking the bus, get off at Orellana station, and then walk up Orellana Street to the hostel. You can also take a cab from the station, which should only cost you about $1. Ask the driver to drop you off at Jonas Guerrero and Rafael Larrea.
The hostel is just behind the Hotel Quito (that is the name of a different hotel right in front of BoutiQuito Hostel).

Whether it’s the local management or the food that comes straight from the neighborhood farmer’s market, it’s all about local engagement at BoutiQuito.
Every single meal they dish up here is sourced from the local farmer’s market – pretty impressive stuff.
Their local managers hire staff from all over the world, just so long as they share their love for both the hostel and Quito.
2. Local Art & Design
BoutiQuito prides itself on being a design hostel, and the place definitely lives up to its name.
Just walk into the reception area and you’ll already have a feel for its shabby-chic aesthetic.
The walls are lined with newspapers topped with colorful sketches, and there are pretty details everywhere, from the steps on the staircase to the quirky pillows strewn on the huge lounge sofa.
The large windows in the lounge give you fantastic sweeping views of the surrounding countryside.
Make sure you make some time to check out the hand-painted artwork adorning the walls of the hostel too, as upcoming artists stop by to leave their mark on the hostel from time to time.
It’s such an inviting place to kick back and relax that you may not feel like getting out of the hostel to explore the city!
3. Unique Feeling with a Volcano’s view
You won’t find anything quite like BoutiQuito in the rest of Quito – which makes it that much more special.
The vibes here are laid-back and relaxed, making it the perfect haven after a busy day of sightseeing. If you’re looking for a clean and friendly place, then this is it.
There’s no better way than to finish up a day of visiting Quito then by going back and settling into the lounge to gaze at the amazing views of the Nevado Cayambe volcano.
It’s pretty easy to meet other travelers here too, as there are multiple areas for socializing and lounging about.
4. Quality Comes First – The uniqueness
Travelers on review sites who have stayed at BoutiQuito frequently mention the high-quality accommodation that they have here, right down to the comfy beds (bed quality isn’t exactly something hostels tend to be known for!).
