6 Secret Tips for Menorca – Sunset, Caves, and Romance

Welcome to the beautiful island of Menorca. The little brother of the famous Mallorca is known for being less touristy, and more recommended for families, couples, and the tranquil traveler. Although Menorca is less popular, it doesn’t say anything about the quality. We are keen to share our 6 Secret tips for Menorca.

We made also a short video about Menorca.

We have been to Menorca, and thanks to our local friends we enjoyed some incredible food we still dream about, we had ice-cold cocktails in a cave, and we were sunbathing at some paradise beaches. Furthermore, we added a small introduction and 3 basic recommendations, because we think it is important to be properly prepared for the Balearic island.

  2. a nightclub with one of the most special locations
  3. the most incredible Mediterranean food we had in our life: We tell you about the restaurant we still dream about!
  4. a beautiful old fishermen’s village to visit
  5. one of the most romantic spots for the Sunset in Menorca
  6. unique beach for a unique experience – promised!

We also included a quick introduction to the island. Plus 3 basic recommendations on what we think is important to consider when traveling through Menorca.

Car rental the smart(er) way

Menorca is a small island, and to get the most out of it plus to reach the best beaches across Menorca, we highly recommend to rent a car. A motorbike might not be enough as you may be packed with your beach luggage.

We recommend NOT TO TAKE the first cheap rental service you can find. They WILL take your money one way or the other. We had some bad experience here.

We tested several rental cars in Menorca, and SIXT rental car was by far the best option!
